Introduction

365Connect version 1.52 brings new enhancements aimed at improving system, administrative and management processes with specific focus on performance, security, deployment, and records administrative tasks.

Changes in this version affect Active Site users, Record Management teams and System Administrators. To make the most of these updates you may wish to communicate these changes to users within your organisation and in particular any features or settings requiring action by an administrator before users can benefit from the new functionality.

These release notes are aimed at describing at a high level, the new and modified features available in this release.

  Before deploying this release, we recommend following a best practice deployment process, which includes thorough testing in a non-production environment

Feature Summary & Impacts to User Groups

New Feature: Support for Office365 Groups

RecordPoint now supports the management of content contained in Office365 Groups.

Limited to an aggregation level of Site only.


New Feature: Support for SharePoint Online Modern Team Sites

RecordPoint now supports content that is created in SharePoint Online using the Modern Team Site experience.

Deprecated Feature: Finalised and Archived content result in aspx page

Content that has been finalised and archived in SharePoint Online using the RecordPoint Add-in previously was replaced with an aspx. With changes to the Office365 platform affecting the aspx page implementation, they have now been deprecated and internet shortcut files will be used.

Custom scripting for an Office365 is no longer a prerequisite for the RecordPoint Add-in.

Any existing aspx page created by RecordPoint will continue to be supported.

The internet shortcut will retrieve the latest version of the content from RecordPoint.

The additional information provided by the aspx can be included into the Record Summary page. For more information on customising the Record Summary page see the following article.

 

Resolved in release

Release version 1.52 includes all bugs resolved since version 1.51, including:

  • Unable to delete List Item from SharePoint Online
  • Delete List from SharePoint Online not handled by RecordPoint
  • Restore from RecordPoint does not show user in audit logs
  • With minor version submissions configured the restoration of a finalized document fails.
